Preparing a home and income cover review: which documents are needed?

Prepare current originals, matching periods and clear open questions. Keep the client's sharing choice, professional authority and human assessment separate.

Go to the steps

THE SHORT ANSWER

A meeting is easier to prepare when documents answer the same questions: whose policy is it, which period applies and where does the information appear? Home and income cover also require a distinction between what the person has said and what a document establishes.

This guide concerns evidence for an individual review. Forsio's reviewed comparison workflow is limited to home and income cover within an agreed and activated scope. It is separate from arranging employee benefits for employer clients. [1][6]

Keep these points in mind

  • Collect complete current documents for the right person, property and period.
  • Separate document evidence, client answers and Unverified.
  • Consent does not replace professional authority or source review.

STEP BY STEP

How to review the documents

  1. Define the assignment and access before starting

Identify the question and policies included in the review. Check the assignment, applicable professional authority and your organisation's activated scope separately from the person's sharing approval. An administrator login or client relationship does not grant unrestricted access.

The individual workflow requires current, checked authority for the organisation and staff member, plus the person's valid sharing with the named recipient. Access covers the relevant information and operation. Earlier sharing may have changed or been withdrawn.

    [1][5]
  2. Collect the complete home policy documents

Obtain the current policy letter, applicable full terms and special endorsements. Note the insured person, address, housing type and coverage period. For a tenant-owned apartment, the association's collective supplement may need a separate check; it may not appear in the private letter.

Distinguish contents, liability, legal expenses and travel cover in the evidence instead of treating a product name as a complete description. Record an amount's source and the limit it concerns. Last year's letter does not automatically describe today's contract.

    [2][6]
  3. Put income policy conditions beside the person's information

Collect the personal statement, group terms and any optional extension. Identify the periods that need evidence. Union membership, unemployment insurance fund membership and insurance periods are different facts; distinguish the person's answer from a certificate or decision.

Unionen's current terms are one example of an agreement with specific membership and qualification requirements. Do not transfer that agreement's amounts or time limits to another product. A condition absent from the evidence is marked Unverified. It is not automatically fulfilled, and the open question does not prove there is no cover.

    [3]
  4. Review the original before using a clause or excerpt

Keep each fact connected to the complete source document that was reviewed. Check its version, contents and insurance areas. Automated extraction can suggest a fact; it does not replace the review required to use the source.

A PDF combining areas may require broader authority than a single page. Hiding pages or displaying a narrow excerpt does not itself grant access to the original. Source classification and access need to match before the material is used.

    [1][5]
  5. Record what is supported and what remains open

Connect a documented amount or condition to its source. Label the person's own answers as such. List the question needing clarification, who can answer and which document is missing. An incomplete retrieval does not prove that a policy is absent.

Documentation and professional assessment remain within the organisation's own process. Sweden's Insurance Distribution Act distinguishes evidence about demands and needs from additional requirements when a personalised product assessment is provided. A source-referenced summary alone does not fulfil the organisation's duties.

The client keeps their own overview

The person can use My Forsio without sharing with you. An individual assignment needs appropriate sharing and authority even when the organisation also works with member benefits or employers. Use the product's current consent texts; do not rewrite them in a meeting template.

Forsio structures available evidence within the agreed scope. This does not grant unrestricted access to all insurance types, pensions or investments. Forsio does not select a replacement product, change the client's policies or decide entitlement to a payout.

Fictional example

Two documents. One open question.

The meeting documents include a current home policy letter and income policy terms.

Home insurance
Letter and period available
Income insurance
Current terms available
Unemployment fund membership
Unverified

The staff member can see the next question without presenting an unanswered membership condition as confirmed cover.

Common questions

Is a screenshot of a clause enough?

An excerpt can help locate a clause, but it does not replace the complete current original or the source review and authority required by the workflow. [1]

Can sharing replace the staff member's professional authority?

No. The person's choice does not replace the organisation's or staff member's authority. The assignment, appropriate scope and valid sharing are checked separately. [5][1]

Can this review be assumed to cover every insurance type?

No. The reviewed comparison workflow covers home and income cover within an agreed and activated scope. Other areas cannot be assumed to be included. [1]
