Insurance evidence you can trace back.

Separate documents, client information and professional assessment. Make clear what a detail rests on, who may read it and what remains unresolved.

THE SHORT ANSWER

A client conversation needs more than a list of policy names. It needs to be clear which period, person and version of the terms a detail concerns. An old statement or a missing group agreement can otherwise provide the wrong starting point.

Forsio produces source-referenced evidence. Your role, engagement and assessment for the client are separate. A finding in the evidence is neither a product suggestion nor a decision about which policy the client needs to change. [1]

Keep these points in mind

  • Connect each detail to the right document and period.
  • Separate a documented condition from an unanswered client question.
  • Check the recipient and permissions before individual access.

STEP BY STEP

How to review the documents

  1. Define the engagement and recipient

Start with whom the engagement concerns and which question needs answering. An employer's group agreement, an employee's private cover and an individual client's policies are different evidence. An employer relationship does not automatically give access to every employee's results.

For personal information, the recipient and scope need to be clear. The organisation's mandate and professional authority need checking separately from the client's sharing choice. An invitation, contact detail or commercial relationship does not replace the required permissions.

    [1][3]
  2. Make the documents' validity visible

Organise policy letters, applicable terms and any group agreements. Record the date, version and person or property concerned. A renewal letter needs separating from the earlier period before comparing costs or content.

Ask for the missing statement rather than filling the space with a standard product. An information sheet can describe a possible benefit without establishing individual enrolment. A price needs to show what it concerns before comparison with another.

    [2]
  3. Separate confirmed content from open questions

Return to the source for an amount, limit or exclusion. Record the clause supporting the detail. If two documents address the same event, read both before describing an overlap. They may concern different circumstances or insurance periods.

Also separate the document from the client's own information. An answer about financial dependency or membership is not the same as an insurance statement. When the evidence cannot establish a condition, that question needs to remain Unverified.

  4. Keep professional assessment in the right process

The Swedish Insurance Distribution Act includes requirements to clarify the client's demands and needs and provide objective, clear product information before a contract. It also distinguishes the additional duties attached to a personalised proposal about an insurance contract. Which provisions apply needs determining within your own business.

Do not let a summary replace the firm's assessment or documentation. Record what you investigated, what the client said and what you concluded under the rules applying to the engagement. A source reference makes the evidence checkable but does not alone fulfil every requirement.

    [4][5]

The client's overview and your access are separate

The client can use their own overview without sharing with an adviser. When individual sharing is relevant, it needs to concern the named recipient and information within the choice's scope. Sensitive information has separate requirements.

The client can change or withdraw sharing through the product's current steps. Work from the access that actually exists, rather than assuming a previous relationship always continues. Use the product's current wording instead of rewriting a consent in your own document.

What Forsio contributes and what remains your responsibility

Forsio's public offering for benefits and pension brokers concerns employer clients. That relationship does not provide unrestricted individual access. For individual-client engagements, scope and authority need agreeing and checking separately. The reviewed comparison flow is limited to home and income insurance; other types cannot be assumed to be included.

Forsio does not sell replacement insurance or select a product or insurer for the client. Its source-referenced analysis stands separately. A discussion about working practices can start with a walkthrough of the evidence and access the particular engagement requires.

Fictional example

An open question before a conclusion.

Client evidence contains a private home policy letter and a description of possible income insurance through membership.

Private home policy letter
1 000 000 krThe amount concerns the stated period.
Enrolment in the income policy
UnverifiedA current statement is missing.
Next check
Request a statement for the right person

The description shows that a benefit may exist, rather than establishing that the client is covered. The evidence leads to a question, not a product suggestion.

Common questions

Does the analysis replace our own assessment?

No. Forsio provides evidence. Your business remains responsible for the engagement, client assessment and documentation under the applicable rules. [4][5]

Do we receive individual information through the employer client?

Not automatically. Individual access requires separate conditions and the person's current choice. Check the actual flow and recipient. [1][3]

Is an overlap an instruction to cancel?

No. A finding describes a relationship in the evidence. Scope, terms and the client's situation need understanding before discussing any change.
