Your overview

Which insurance policies do I have? Start in three places.

Your own policies, your workplace and your union may provide different parts of your cover. Here is how to find the documents and bring them into one overview.

Go to the steps

THE SHORT ANSWER

Start with the policies you pay for yourself, cover that may come through work and cover that may be included in membership. No bill does not mean no cover. Group insurance may be paid for by someone else or included in a membership fee.

The aim is a list you can check: which policy, who it covers, which period and which document confirms it. You do not need to work out every condition at once. [1][2]

Keep these points in mind

  • Start with what you know you have.
  • Ask your workplace and union for current statements.
  • Distinguish missing documents from missing cover.

STEP BY STEP

How to check your cover

  1. Find your own policies

Check your bank’s payment history and your digital mailbox. Then sign in to the insurers you find and get current policy letters. Note the policy number, dates and who the agreement covers.

Set older letters aside when listing your current cover. Keep them for comparisons over time.

  2. Ask your workplace for an insurance statement

Ask which policies your employment includes and where to find the terms. Request documents that apply to your employment, rather than just a general benefits presentation.

Also note whether anything ends when your employment changes. Leave the question unanswered until you have confirmation.

  3. Check your memberships

Read the insurance statement from your union or association. Distinguish cover that is included, cover you have opted into and offers to buy insurance.

Ask who is insured and whether particular conditions apply to compensation. A membership card alone does not show the full scope.

  4. Make your next question specific

For example: does the accident policy also apply outside work? Which address does the home policy cover? Does the income insurance require another membership? A specific question is easier to answer than whether everything is properly insured.

Start with one document at a time. You can complete an unfinished list without starting again.

Bring the information together without moving your policies

In My Forsio, you can retrieve or add insurance documents and see them in the same overview. Workplace and union documents can sit alongside your private policies. Adding them does not transfer your agreements to Forsio.

The overview shows the documents available there. It is not a central register of everything that might cover you. Missing documents need to be retrieved or added before a question can be verified.

Three sources, different next steps

Someone starts gathering their documents.

Home · Private
Current policy letter
Accident · Work
Statement still needed
Income · Union
Terms need checking

Two unanswered questions are not two confirmed gaps. The next step is to obtain the statements.

Common questions

Does Forsio find everything automatically?

No. The overview is based on what has been retrieved or added. Cover through your workplace or union, for example, may need supporting documents.

Must all my policies be with the same insurer?

No. My Forsio brings together information from your documents. You do not need to change insurers to use the overview.
